ISDB Annual Sawtooth Summer Camp--June 15 - 21, 2008
Sawtooth Camp is recreational in nature and offers a unique opportunity for deaf and hard of hearing children and blind and visually impaired children to share adventures while developing lifetime friendships. Idaho deaf/hard of hearing boys and girls who are entering 6,7,8, and 9th grades and who have not yet reached their 16th birthday and blind/visually impaired students ages 13-15 are eligible to participate in this camp. ISDB has fielded numerous inquiries from school districts and driver education instructors across the state related to how to best meet the communication and instructional needs of students who are hearing impaired or have low vision. Concern has been raised for both the classroom setting and the in-car training required to satisfy the Idaho Driver Education Program. Students must send registration forms by May 1, 2008. Students must obtain a Driver's Training Instruction Permit prior to class. READ MORE...
