Transition
Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind post-secondary transition program focuses on individuals " achieving independence". We help by offering each individual the support and information to make decisions, responsible choices, and community contributions.
As part of our mission, we work with employers to provide services, at no cost to the employer, that promote a successful working relationship between the employer and the deaf/hard of hearing employee. This service helps ensure that any communication and/or  cultural issues which affect employment are addressed and a healthy, productive relationship maintained.
We also work with post-secondary institutions, again at no cost to the schools, to provide services and assistance that ensure a successful post-secondary experience for deaf/hard of hearing individuals.
