in partnership with AG Bell and ISU, promote and/or report the following
Program Mission:
The Treasure Valley-ISDB Auditory/Oral Program is committed to providing an educational experience within the mainstream setting that will maximize children's ability to listen and use spoken language enabling them to reach their academic and social potential
Program Guidelines :
- ISDB, in partnership with State and District professionals, offers an educational model for students who require and Auditory-Oral learning environment.
- The Program includes preschool through first grade classes that provide the educational, audiological and support services that will allow children to develop learning, listening, and speaking skills they will use throughout life.
- The success of any educational program depends on the proper alignment of goals and activities with the individual child's capabilities and needs. A collaborative team of parents, educators, and other professionals contributes to an appropriate individual plan for each child.
- The rate of a child's progress toward his/her goals and objectives is closely tied to effective parent involvement. Therefore, a critical component of our program is to offer regular opportunities for parents to learn and practice strategies for enhanced listening development in their homes.
- With strong educational teams, current technology, and supportive systems, we expect the development of productive, happy, confident, successful adults.
